ORCA RUNNING RACE POLICIES

These additional policies also apply to Snoqualmie Valley Half:

Dogs and Strollers

The liability insurance for the race through USA Track and Field does not cover dogs.  Dogs are not allowed to participate at Snoqualmie Valley Half.

Strollers are allowed. The parent/guardian who is going to push the stroller should, when registering for the race, indicate as such and agree to abide by our stroller policy, which you can see below:

  • I assume responsibility for all risks to the minor participant named below resulting from participation in the Event.
  • I certify that the minor participant named below is in proper physical condition to participate in the Event and does not have a condition which would impair the minor participant’s ability to safely participate in the Event.
  • If any claim for personal injury, property damage, and/or wrongful death is commenced on behalf of the minor participant named below against the Releasees, I shall defend, indemnify, and save harmless the Releasees from any and all actions, causes of action, suits, damages, judgments, claims, and demands.
  • Minor will wear a CPSC certified helmet at all times while participating in the Event.

 

Course Closure
Half Marathon Time limit – 4 hours

All Participants must be able to finish the race with in 4 hours (approximately a 18:25 minute per mile pace). Participants unable to complete in this time may stop at any aid station and volunteers will help arrange for transportation to the finish line. Participants still on the course when officials determine it is time to close the course will be informed that they are now a pedestrian and must obey all pedestrian traffic laws, stopping at red lights, using crosswalks, using sidewalks, etc. Aid stations, sponsors, medial stations, mile markers and the timing system will be released on a rolling basis to shut down and pack up. Timing will stay open for a short time on a manual system but official timing is not guaranteed. Food, water and medals will be set aside at the finish line for those still on the course but not guaranteed.
